I am sure many of you were saddened by the recent death of Ron Harrison. Although Ron wasn’t a current member of the LAS he probably taught many LAS members, including myself, during his time at Lincolnshire School of Art & Design between 1963 and 2006.
The celebration of his life starts at Lincoln Crematorium on Monday, May 11th at 11.30 AM. Followed by a wake at the Widow Cullen’s Well, Steep Hill. Which I am sure he would appreciate as back in the day, as the old Wig & Mitre, was the preferred hostelry of the LSAD crowd.
We are starting an occasional feature on the LAS website for featured artists. We hope this will grow into an archive of our members, who they are and their work.
To get the ball rolling here’s the first, appropriately featuring one of our most long standing members Keith Roper…
LAS welcomes new members who have been accepted into our Society.
