The Lincolnshire Artists Society will be hosting the following pop-up residencies during their 2026 annual show at the Usher Gallery, Lincoln.

Lisa Tanlk - Japanese Gelli Plate Collage

Lisa’s demonstration introduces the playful process of Gelli plate printing and collage art. Using acrylic paint, a brayer, stencils, found textures and prepared papers, the session will show how simple printmaking techniques can create rich, layered papers that can be cut, torn and arranged into expressive mixed-media collages, cards and concertina books.

David’s work is mainly figurative with elements of abstraction, at the moment he is mainly producing portraiture work which is influenced by German expressionism, artist Grant wood, Edward hopper and British artist Stanley Spencer. On the day he will be working on sketches from a mirror.

Sharron’s pop-up residency will focus on current pieces she has been developing. She will be blending mixed-media with collage papers to create imaginative compositions. Come along and see her in action, flick through sketchbooks and feel free to ask any questions you may have about her creative process.

Nick will be working in the gallery on one of his signature fenland landscape paintings. He will work with his plein air setup and acrylics from reference material. He will be able to talk with visitors whilst showing extra examples of work and working process.

Sally will be working from her sketchbooks using the contents as inspiration to create a series of new watercolour ink paintings. Starting with black acrylic ink line work drawn with an angled stick then mixing a limited palette to use across several pieces creating a tonal story of semi abstracted landscapes and seascapes in a loose style.
